    • INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

    For over 60 years, our program has been an opportunity in the graduate
    education of hundreds of medical professionals in Puerto Rico.

    The application period for the 2027–2028 Rotating Internship Program at
    Hospital Auxilio Hato Rey opens on October 1, 2026. The program
    includes the stipend grant offered by the Department of Health.

    Hospital Auxilio Mutuo de Puerto Rico boasts a Rotational Internship Program accredited by the Puerto Rico Medical Licensing and Disciplinary Board — previously the Medical Examining Court. This program includes a year of top-tier, highly thorough rotational training for graduates of medical programs who require one year of medical internship to fulfill the requirements of a license.

    Objective

    The primary objective of our Rotational Internship Program is to provide an array of graduate medical education opportunities by rotating between various medical disciplines that allow interns to determine their specialization and acquire experience under the supervision and mentorship of medical instructors.
