VOLUNTEERING

A learning opportunity for aspiring health professionals and for
people devoted to helping others.

Helping others is an opportunity

Since its inception in 1990, our program was created with the purpose of bringing forth opportunities for aspiring health professionals and for people with a passion for helping those in need, tending to their basic needs and offering them support during difficult times.

If you are interested in becoming a part of our program, you need only fill out a request form, schedule an interview and receive an orientation.

Commitment to our patients

Upon joining our volunteer program, you are expected to allocate at least 4 hours per day each week (a minimum of 16 hours per month), abiding by the assigned schedule. Each volunteer must complete a 90 day period of probation and pay the required fine (students are excluded from this).

Moreover, it is required to abide by the rules of Hospital Auxilio Mutuo and its Volunteer Program. It is also mandatory to respect the confidentiality of the patients, make adequate use of the uniform, and participate in meetings and activities. Promoting personal activities for profit is forbidden and it is imperative to meet all security and health requirements established by the authorities.
